We are looking to go to Nicosia for a couple of days in Febuary. We want to stay in or close to the old town so any views on hotels would be great and also recommendations on places to visit would be much appreciated.

Don't buy no fake goods if you go over the border as they will be confiscated if found by the border polis.

Enjoy your trip.

A few years ago when we went across the Green Line, at Ledra Street, we found, ironically, a green line painted on the pathway, which took us to all the interesting bits. We went passed St. Sophia's, the market, some interesting small museums, and to Kyrenia Gate. We also walked through some picturesque streets with lovely cottages and displays of flowers. We talked to some of the locals and met one old man who had lived in Polis. He wanted to know what it was like now. He had never been back.
