We are shortly due to venture to China and Hong Kong.We got onto youtube and a guy on there said he travelled a lot and had a zillion visa,s for different countries but the one for China was the most,,,,,well,,,,troublesome to get,and you believe it.
We have after much work on it got all the paper work together an now the fun starts,,,and that is getting an appointment at the Chinese Embassy in Nicosia. We have phoned them many times but as it is in this day and age its practically impossible to speak to a human being who can make a decission. The machine that answere,s tells you everything you and your mother in law needs to know,,,,,except,,,,,,how to get an appointment. :-(

Any help would be most appreciated :celebrate

Easy as pie! Download and complete the visa application form and take it to the embassy during their opening hours (MON-WED 0900-1200). NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED.

We took our forms to them before Xmas and collected it a week later. Cost €30 each for a 28 day visa.

Are you going on a cruise from Shanghai?

Regards

Alan

Mission almost completed. We have been to the Chinese embassy in Nicosia handed in all the zillion documents which they seemed happy with and told us to come back next Monday to collect our passports which will have the coveted visa applied. :banana
Thanks for all the advice.
