Good news. Will then be able to avoid having to go into that ridiculously awkward car park in the existing one.

Certainly this development should provide easier access for those of us on this side of town, than the inconveniently placed shop near the motorway, which is a pain to visit because of the dual carriageway. However despite the comments about the awkward car park, it is at least under cover which is helpful both in summer and winter.

Those who haven't visited recently should be aware that they have installed an in store chicken BBQ, like their stores at Kolossi and Skarinou, which some may appreciate - and the current opening offer price is welcome ... for the moment. Whether I will be tempted away from Nostimes remains to be seen.

We are doing well with supermarket upgrades. Papantoniou's Chlorakas store has had a major and much overdue refurbishment, making it a much more pleasant place to shop, if you don't get run over while crossing the road from the car park.

I was talking to one of the developers last night and he 'says' the new shop will have 50% of the sales space dedicated to Tesco products

It was announced a while back and they hope to be open by Xmas at the latest as it's more than just a refurb!!

Papantoniou could lose out big time but the only winners will be us the customers as they try to undercut each other!

Is there some Financial tie-up between the two? There were rumours in the past.

Some sort of agreement to stock a certain amount of Tesco branded stuff obviously, but quite what it required AM to do may never be revealed, although you could always obtain a copy of their accounts and scour through them!!

Philippos seem to stock some of the Tesco 'everyday' brand too.
