i thought i’d seen everything on the roads here but got the shock of my life on Saturday coming back up the Polis road from town. we were just coming up to Carrefour (as was) and the driver in front of me was going very slowly, could see what i thought was a man on a moped weaving around in front of him. the driver eventually overtook him and i could see this clown was actually on a segway, which was bad enough, but imagine my horror when we drew close and he actually had a small child standing in front of him on the segway. i was pretty gobsmacked. i know it’s illegal in the UK, no idea here but if anyone needed prosecuting for idiotic and dangerous driving it was this silly man.

We have had some teenagers using these around the Zygi area.
Are they legal?
Amos.

my guess - Cyprus is not ready yet for that; in California I saw many places with dedicated lane for bicycles and segways, especially in cities on ocean shores.

What we should expect form Paphos municipality, if they cannot manage to fix pot-holes on main streets of the cultural EU city 2017 !!! Not telling missing car parking places and terrible feeling driving thru two way street clogged by parked cars in space marked double yellow lines near banks and stores :( - such spots merely allow pass just one car, damn !
