I was driving through the old town this morning, and it looked as though the Agapinor Hotel had closed down. Does anyone know when it closed? and will it be reopening? |

It closed last Thursday. There is much secrecy regarding the reason for that, and even someone I know who regularly works for them has not been told, other than they "might" need him again next March. The two reasons for closure being bandied about are 1) Renovation, or 2) hotel has been sold. The hotel has been on the market for at least 2 years now, and the last two or three months have had dire occupancy figures, which was rather surprising, as the hotel over the last two years had good figures during the corresponding months. I don't think any of us will know the real reason behind the closure until March next year. |
