Post subject:  Xmas markets

Once again we performed the now 'customary' yearly visit to an Xmas Market last night.

Far from inciting the 'Christmas Spirit', it served only to reinforce my opinion that women will attend any event that involves the chance to 'shop'. A somewhat sexist comment, but to me as a long-term husband, a proven fact!

My problem is keeping the look of boredom off my face whilst 'riding shotgun' at these events.

Unfortunately (as most men of experience will know), there is no allowable 'out clause' that would serve to maintain marital harmony.
The guaranteed result of abstaining (as a friend from RSA once put it) would be a prolonged bout of " hot tongue & cold ar.., from my spouse!

I went to the revival night market, same as topgun not really my sort of event, a good autojumble would be right up my street. I went to the Tala Cats stand a charity very close to my heart and had fun at the tombola, a nice stand, there were a number of stands selling costume jewellery, not really my thing, then i found a stall where two ladies were selling all sorts of baked items, yes they had bread pudding, a pretty good onr too, bought a good portion for 4 euro, very moist. Bumped into a few people i knew, so Yes the event is female orientated but it seemed well arranged and executed.
