Although nothing has been in the press, I have it on good authority that The President is due to visit Paphos on Friday 8th or Saturday 9th December. Thus the reasons why today there are dozens of council workers planting trees, plants and shrubbery in Old Paphos today. This will undoubtedly result in roads being blocked off and diversions all over the places, so please be aware of disruptions on the roads, especially around Old Paphos.

Whoever your 'good authority ' is obviously reads the papers!

There have been articles on this in the local and national press, in fact the whole schedule has been printed somewhere too, it starts late Sunday morning !!

He's inaugurating 5 projects in the town and there's a shindig in Kennedy Square.

Sorry DD, but I was only posting what I was told yesterday, and as I hadn't heard about it, thought others
might be interested!

When I mentioned "on good authority", I meant it didn't come from a rumour, but from a trusted elderly Cypriot
gentleman, and it wasn't to make any "importance" out of it other than that. As I said before, I hadn't read or heard it, and probably I wasn't the only one. As this is supposed to be an information site, I thought it might be useful to
members to know there will be inevitable diversions re traffic. Surely some information is better than none, especially
as some that did know of it didn't let others know, but there you are!
