Paphos People

Just over five weeks ago a brand-new themed pub opened in Peyia in support of the Royal British Legion in Paphos.

The venue is adorned with memorabilia relating to the British forces and the Royal British Legion (RBL) and the idea is to establish a venture which aims to raise funds for the charity and become the recognised ‘home’ of the Royal British Legion in Paphos.

The idea belongs to branch committee member, Tony Thraves, who is ex forces and wife Lorraine, ex police. They have owned and run bars in both the UK and Cyprus before. Their opening event raised over 900 euros for the Royal British Legion Paphos branch and will be put to good use on the island, Thraves said.

We went in at about 6 pm yesterday and just caught the end of Chris Andre’s session , he is really good . We had some great pub grub , we will be back again soon .

so is it the British legion , does all the profits go to
the British legion ?? .
As its called (The legion) and not (The British legion) ?
I am confused ? ..

Drove past today and the old place is up for rent .

It appears they have moved to the old Paliomonastiro restaurant , or is it somewhere else ?

No they've relocated there, if you look as you turn off the main road the signs and everything are there.

I asked if it was somewhere else because their face book page shows them near Savvas Grill .

They are now at the Paliomonastirou premises which is straight down the road from Savvas Grill n the coast road!
