It is many years since I had blood tests done at Paphos General, but I have to get a whole list done.

Can anyone tell me the current procedure, a good time to go and whether it is still the bun fight that it used to be?

Thanks in advance.

get there early , take a ticket , make sure you have the list from the doctor
of what test you need , also make sure you have the stamps , give it to the woman behind
the counter , get your bottles , then go and wait in the queue with your ticket .. have fun

My advice would be to have it done at a private test clinic, not expensive and far FAR less trouble.

Thanks for the feedback Neil.

Old Twister, FWIW I usually have tests done privately, but this lot is the wrong side of €500!

Hi Old Twister, a silly question I know, but if I were to get my blood test done privately, would I then take the results with me to hand in to whatever Dr I see?
Thanks.

I can answer that one as that is what I normally do. Yes, you just take your private results and hand them to the doctor. They will probably ask why you had it done privately and then they go in your file.

I do this 4 times a year, but this time the cost is just too much.

But they only do the tests up until about 10.30am which seems silly...!

Well, today was the day.

Pleased to say that I got there at 8:45, bought stamps, registered and got all the blood tests done and left the hospital just after 9:05 (5 people in front of me).

I gather it is not always like that, but today was a breeze.

Thanks everyone for your help and comments.

Effsie, apart from the outward appearance of chaos and the lack of English signs the system does work very well.
