This may divide opinion, 3 years ago I bought Norton 360 and had a good deal now the subscription is due up in 65 days time, the cost to renew is £74.99 some will say what price do you put on PC security but I feel that is a tad dear, what does the good members suggest.
Thanks in advance
Ian

I use Panda free antivirus program.
If you download a file with a virus it deletes it before you can open it!
I have put this one in to around 30 machines with no problems at all.

If you use Windows 10, it comes with Windows Defender, which is regularly updated and which managed to find issues that AVG, which i had used for years, missed completely. I now use it exclusively (with weekly checks using MalWareBytes). My wife, who has no computer knowledge whatsoever, has not managed to screw it up yet. Both solutions are free.

Yes, agreed Paul. You put it on my machine when doing some rectivation work on it some 3 - 4 years ago, and it works perfectly.

I bought Norton Security Deluxe for 5 devices in Argos, you can buy it online and download it a lot cheaper than they charge you for renewing; a bit like car insurance if you don't shop around at renewal time they try to sting you! :pint

I bought Norton antivirus last Black Friday online from Currys, PC World. It was around 20pounds sterling and was posted to me in the UK. I just waited the couple of months my previous antivirus had to run and then installed it. It covers 10 machines so our android devices are also covered.

There are plenty of decent free anti-virus programs about.

Two are mentioned above. I used to use Avast and only moved away as it was annoying me with its pop up ads to buy another version.

I now use Bit Defender free.

I use ESET Smart Security, which I bought following a similar discussion on a forum.

In the past I used Norton, but it really slowed down my computer. Eset is really good and has no noticeable effect on my computer. For me, it is also good value.

Happy with Adblock Plus. Also use Malwarebytes and CCleaner. All free.
