I have had to go to the ACS / DHL office 3 times to pick up packages.
The last one I asked when they where going to deliver it, She asked where I lived then told me they do not deliver to Konia.
Funny but I have just seen an ACS van driving into Anavagos this morning.
Konia a place too far for ACS to deliver too!

ACS said to me they didn't deliver to Peyia.....when I told them their client had paid for 'door to door' service and if they couldn't do it to return the package and explain why

Yep, parcel delivered within 1 hour :huff

We always have to drive into Paphos to get our door to door packages

Might try your idea MAD and see what happens

I purchase many items from Amazon whether I pay for standard or preferred expedited and the courier is DHL/ACS I always request a shipping refund from Amazon, I have never been refused, my latest was last week for £10.75. I pay for a service if they won't deliver that is a problem for Amazon, I have complained on many occasions but they persist on using them, the strange part is that ACS goes through Stroumbi twice a day to Polis. I have posted about this problem before and some believe that if people complain Amazon will stop delivering to Cyprus, I doubt it, they would lose too many customers, I have been doing this for a long time and never had a problem. regards

What puts me off is the impudence with which they state "you aren't in the delivery area". Kinda easier to get there than to receive all that negative while arguing. That's how thugs make their money, I guess. Just give you a choice either you give up something (get to their office in this case) or you'd have what's yours but with some portion of negative emotions.

If someone would be kind enough to post here a text of complain to DHL and EMS and everyone would send such letters each time - may be we could do some good. I'd do that myself, but with my English such a letter would sooner become a matter for jokes than something to consider seriously.

"you aren't in the delivery area".

Perhaps we all need to start asking what exactly IS the delivery area??

well, I've tried that before (btw I lived in Tremithousa then, which is like one minute drive from Paphos) and I was told it's just Paphos city.

I'm sure there isn't much sense in asking anything them, they would answer considering their convenience olny and not the truth or their agreement with original carriers like EMS or DHL. It is carriers we should ask, what I've tried too and was just sent to another destination, at which point I gave up. Here's their answer:

Dear Andy

Thank you for your email

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience

I can see you are overseas, your local DHL office are better placed to handle your query. The contact number for DHL customer services in Cyprus is 0035722799000

Kind regards

It would be most kind if someone would find a couple of minutes to call the phone number above and ask them is it there such a thing as "delivery area" at all or door-to- door delivery should always work as such.

Just had a call from Akis express about my FedEx delivery from Island 4x4. The guy said I'm not in the delivery area so I should come and collect. I went I've paid for door to door so I can't be bothered, just send the parcel back and explain them why can't you do your job, good day. He said no-no, let me explain you something, I'm going for delivery to your area this Wednesday, is it OK for you to wait? I said OK, see you then.

So, we'll see is there such a thing as a "delivery area" after all.

Funny but in the last week or two I have seen ACS vans in Konia.
I am begining to think if you have an english name the try not to deliver and make you go to the office.
Not so nice when you live miles out and have paid for it to be delivered!

After several complaints to ACS and telling them if they didn't deliver to Peyia, they should return the item to the sender, tell them they couldn't deliver and pay back the fee.

Lo and behold, had 2 parcels delivered to the house by ACS this morning

Further to the above comments and in particular to what Dave was saying. We ordered from Next 3 days ago and delivered by DHL courier. We would always get the call to go collect. Lo and behold arrived this afternoon to the door. So a big thank you to those members who have questioned DHL in the recent past.

Jim.

Seems like they might be learning. Got a parcel from ACS this morning then a DHL courier asked if we would take a parcel for our neighbour who was out :bearhug

I had a DHL package due to arrive a couple of days ago. I was watching it on the tracking to see when to expect the call to go and collect it as usual, when the tracking said it was out for delivery.

Sure enough a couple of hours later, a delivery man knocked on the door and handed over the package.

What a revelation!

Yeah, if it's the same guy with the shaved head, he's a great guitarist and bazouki player too.

I got a txt from ACS 3 days ago to say there was a package for me to be collected from their office. I wish I had been brave enough to tell them to send it back if they can't deliver to Peyia, but it was a 'clutch cable' I had ordered for my motorcycle from the UK. I really needed it and couldn't risk them calling my bluff and sending it back!
My wife is also expecting a package any day now, so I will be brave when they txt me and tell them to deliver it or send it back, she doesn't need another mobile phone anyway!!

I was in the same situation as I really needed the package, but they just delivered it. No phone call. No argument!
