The reductions are marginal to say the least (although welcome), however the largest users are to be rewarded whereas those more frugal will be penalised. Seems to me the wrong way round.

I agree Tanny, as it will affect us because we typically use 240-300 units every two months and live on one UK state pension!

every year !! they put it up in high season and the hot period when we all have aircon on,
then drop it in the winter when we are not consuming so much , so the reduction in low , but it makes you feel like you are getting a deal ,, what about people like me who has electric bill well over a thousand ???

But you are a business presumably making a profit, not a household possibly on a fixed income.

I agree absolutely Tanny!
The Hotelliers, Developers, Government officials & Russian oligarchs need to be given a reduction to make ends meet, their electricity bills must be something to behold for the mansions most of them enjoy. Pity most probably fail to pay them & no doubt still get away with it.

So us plebs get a reduction of 6% after suffering a 40% hike, whoopeedo, I'm betting that the new rate bandings will be to the benefit of the supplier also, not the user - it is a common trend in Cyprus.

Hopefully my newly installed Solar PV system should redress some of the balance. :banana
