I came here for the sun in summer, and when it rains in winter. I have difficulty understanding the problem coming to live in Cyprus, and then praying for rain in THE SUMMER. Had enough of that previously in England.

Totally agree with WavyDave.
I came here for the sun. I live here 365 days a year, and I don't even like the rain in winter!

I know we need the rain, but I don't have to like it.
I fish the dams every week, and the levels are not too bad, for this time of year.

I hope you are right.
I understand that the dam levels are better in the west of the island than the east this year.
But, like Stevie B, we stood on the patio to enjoy this rare event.

I thought they had built desalination plants for such an event?

Not all are 'up and running' ..... and it's an expensive way of getting fresh water.
