Dump particles in some coffee brands

Are you put off by such an investigation or are you the type who would simply close the eyes and hope an infection had someone else name on it.

Personally I prefer the latte from Coffee Island or the sterilised cups and fresh brew from Britannia.

Do you have a link to the BBC report please?

Forget that. Found it.

Seldom if ever use coffee chains so would always Britannia and ilk as a preference.

It's on BBC 1 as we speak!

In one sense, I happily don't drink coffee.

BUT, my granddaughter does  Or rather, did!!!!

Yuuukkkkk! Most of the infection comes from staff not washing their hands after visiting the toilet!! Fecal deposits! Yes, afraid so!

Also in iced drinks!

Very similar to eating freebie bar snacks in pubs, or Indian take-aways, the punters with their mitts in the trough not troubled by the things their hands have come into contact with during the course of the evening. Doesn't bare thinking about!

Why stop at coffee shops and bar snacks, I personally never do buffets, have you ever seen the amount of people who actually touch the food with their hands in the serving dishes rather than using the provided utensils for whatever reason :puke just saying!!! :puke

Try picking up chicken vindaloo with your hands - your fingers would be burnt as well as your anus! :giggle

Given the age of most folks who post on here, I reckon we've all experience this unknowingly at one time or another whilst growing up and we're still here...

Yes, it shouldn't happen in this day and age but we all know it does. Be careful out there.... is the best you can do.

Most coffee from bars taste like s*** anyway.....however the espresso in Wagamama is amazing and the Flat White in Cafe Nero is second to none!

Personally I believe what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Sure if you analysed most food or drinks sold "fresh" you would find all sorts in most!

Better off not knowing or caring! or make your own.

It's not just the touching, it's the coughing and spluttering over the food that I don't like. Plus I'll never forget the time we were staying at a fairly smart hotel in Goa and the English family from Hell arrived. Ma, Pa (both festooned in heavy gold jewellery) and two young boys both under the age of 10. We sat and watched, horrified, the first evening as the boys wandered around the buffet table, taking, tasting and putting back as they wished. :puke Ma & Pa were too busy enjoying their drinks to notice.... Since then, if we cannot avoid a buffet, we only take from dishes out of the reach of little'uns.

In answer to the OP the answer is don't buy a coffee (or anything else) from those 3 named National outlets.
Or, you could buy one, and then do the food poisoning scam (that many Brits are doing on package hols to Greece, Spain, Cyprus, etc) to claim mega bucks compensation.
That should put an end to it.
I should add that I am not advocating anyone breaks the law... :crylaughin, but claim if their coffee gives you the runs.
Geoff.

If you do, don't go and put all your photos on facebook showing all your friends what a marvellous time you had while you were out eating and drinking with your wife/partner or whatever:

A tourist's attempt to claim compensation for food poisoning while on holiday unravelled after Facebook pictures showed him enjoying meals on his break to Turkey.
Bodybuilder Leon Roberts lodged a claim alleging that he had been struck down by illness and spent more than two weeks unable to go out.
But an album of 79 pictures posted on the social network painted a vastly different picture, as he was seen tucking into steaks and sushi.

He now wants to withdraw his compensation claim. I wonder why?

A bloke eating in a restaurant without a top on is disgusting anyway. Who wants to eat near a sweaty bodied idiot like him anyway. So called "bodybuilder"? Needs to get himself a life. Probably full of steroids anyway.

So he wants to "drop" the claim because of a dispute with his ex partner! Probably due to the fact she would say he was a liar.
He should now be charged with making a fraudulent claim. In the article he is the typical stereotype of a bloke who wants to be known as a "hard man". Body covered in tattoos, full of steroids, with what looks like a bit of a dangerous dog, that even he finds difficult to handle. Just the sort of idiot you don't want in your hotel on holiday, or in the same plane as you.
