Latest edited update 19th June from Facebook . To see full text visit Facebook. .

WASPI women are beginning to overwhelm the DWP with their official letters of complaint. These letters form part of the legal action that WASPI is taking against the government, and there is evidence that they are causing the Department some problems due to the numbers being received.
However, WASPI women are becoming increasingly frustrated by the standard responses they are getting and for those who have reached Stage 4 of the long complaints process, the demand that they respond within 10 days while the DWP Complaints Managers currently have a backlog of cases reaching back to April 2016, which they are only just dealing with now. This is patently unfair, and our lawyers, Bindmans, have written to ask for a longer period to respond.

If we are successful with those complaints then the Parliamentary Ombudsman can recommend that the Government restore women who have complained to the same financial position as if the maladministration hadn’t happened.

On 8th March Bindmans also sent formal legal correspondence to the Government to call for concrete action. We received no reply and having chased several times for a response we at last received an email on 8th June, some three months later, apologising for the delay and saying that there wouldn’t be a reply till after the election. We are being treated with contempt and a lack of respect for the difficult circumstances many women are in.

This is one of those things that brings any government into disripute. The answer is so very simple but the willpower is just not there.

Good luck to the WASPI campaign. Keep up the battle.

What Mrs May is giving Northern Ireland for the DUP's support of her Government, would pay the WASPI women their pensions from age 60!
Geoff.

The WASPI ladies missed their chance! They should have been courting the DUP instead of Labour and they may have got somewhere!
