Just need the Lions to beat the Maori All Blacks and it will have been a cracker of a day. :celeb2

Dreams can sometimes come true. Bit of a fluke I suggest. But well done Lions.

Those scores are why it was a fluke.
Don't hold your breath next week for the first test.

Er, you don't think they were just sussing-out the opposition then (when the result was meaningless), avoiding injury etc.?

What is the point of going full tilt in this 'warm-up' match, beyond any imagined psychological advantage, before the real test?

Not completely ‘meaningless’ Topgun, (to me anyway) I had a nice little treble bet on Scotland, The Lions and South Africa :celebrate

The All Blacks declared squad for the 1st test next Saturday does look pretty formidable

Indeed so, not to mention injuries on the Lions side.
Pray for a miracle.
Should be a good match to watch.
Geoff.

Well it was a good match to watch but the Lions never really had a chance of winning.
The final score of: All Blacks 30 - 15 Lions tells it all, Quelle Surprise.
Good luck in the second test!
Geoff.

For some reason Gatlin didn,t choose his best team to start the test match...absolute shame as the score could have been very much different
Weak choice of team was to blame for score
But great game all the same...with some special moments from both sides
And the New Zealanders looking as awesome as ever

I disagree, Lions was quite a strong team.
They mainly lost because the All Blacks showed superb and consistent passing.
They seemed superior in the scrums also, and their hooker was A1.
Geoff.

The All Blacks had 3 chances to score, they scored 3, the Lions had 4/5 chances to score, they scored 2 , although the first is rated as one of the best tries in test rugby, the Lions also conceded a penalty count in double figures, you cannot do that against a team like New Zealand and expect to win.

I also think Romania did very well against the Brazilians.
