We decided to get three quotes for replacing our complete set of tyres. Now as most people recommended COSTS we included him. He was the most expensive and we did not like his cocky manner. The huge one in Chloraka was the next one Good price which included wheel balance,alignment. The final one which we chose to do the job was the one in Russian/Chicken St. No one could beat his prices and for your info here are the prices he gave.

Michelin=€73.00
Pirelli=€65.00
Yokohama=€75.00

We decided on the Pirellie. :grin:

Above include balance tracking and alignment.
China=€40.00

Same Brand tyres are made in different parts of the world for different markets..... so although you might be quoted 50e in one place and 70e in another...for what you think
is the same tyre, in fact the specs for both might be different.

That's very cheap for 5 tyres. I suppose you meant for each tyre.

We examined the tyres for Place of manufacture and the Year of manufacture.

Did you try Zeka tyres?

Going from Chlorakas to Paphos on the top road past Pizza Hut, it is on the left just past the traffic lights. I went to them following a recommendation on one of the forums and they have always been the cheapest that I could find and their service is good too.

Brill! Just had 4 new tyres fitted for the costly sum of €110.
There 175/65 14 inch size.
The last 4 cost €200.
The company is next door to the dog charity shop.

I've used Costas in the 11 years I've been here, never had a problem, always a choice of differently priced tyres, choice is mine, no pressure, always reliable. He also fixes punctures at little or no cost, two of my tyres recently. Cheaper and more convenient for me coming down from Tremithousa than driving all over Paphos to save a couple of quid, so inconvenient.

When I need a tyre fixed I need someone I know I can rely on, Costas fits the bill for me. No connection with him whatsoever, just an honest guy, happy to deal with him.

I will stay with Costas. He never charges for a puncture or wheel balancing, if you are a customer. I have had 2 sets of Yokahama mixed use types and both have lasted almost twice as long as the Micheilin tyres that came new on our truck.

Costas has a very good business but he can't please everyone. It is a personal choice. I don't think he is "cocky" more funny in a dry way. :sunny
