Having dithered & delayed construction of a carport for the last 5 years awaiting our Title Deeds, I have decided life is just too short.
Can anybody point me in the direction of a supplier of kits or a recommended contractor that can provide me with a carport, metal or wood at a reasonable cost?

I am getting one done but my landlord is dragging his heels over sharing the cost's, however I am using a company Shadeports plus, based in Paphos, cost wise depends on size and if you want them to fit it, think of guarantees also you get what you pay for.

This their Webb site, hope this helps.

Taking a risk there Topgun? With the current Mayor in place, who likes ripping down signs along the TOTK road, and stopping karaoke at British bars, I wouldn't risk it. Of course, if you were the Cypriot restaurant just near to where I live, then Greek singing until 1.30 - 2am is fine!!!!

Yes, luckily my rash has now cleared up nicely!

Actually no Uncle D, never heard of her/the place. Would you be so good as to pass on their contact details & location?

Hi lowvoltage, I've got a quote from them already - they must be confusing me with a Russian Oligarch at that price, I've seen apartments go for less!

I see you live in Tala but don't know where Considine is. If you go right the way down the Tala Road towards the Town, at the T junction at the bottom turn left and there they are immediately on your left. They do everything in timber, pergolas, leanto's, fencing etc. Been there at least 10 years and very good too.

I built a 6 metre X 5 metre myself and bought all the stuff from One Stop; if you can do it yourself it's much cheaper.

Consindine has now retired.
We had Mark Johnson build our carport and an excellent job he did, well recommend him.

Yes, if you head down from Tala past Pit Stop and then the school to the T junction at the bottom, turn left as going to pizza hut and their workshop is there on your immediate left.
They are I think an Irish family run carpentry business that have been established in Paphos for many years.

But if Tremigirl is correct then they are no more, I would have thought it would have carried on without him.

I thought only one of the Considine partners had retired, I bought something from there not very long ago.

Hi Sergio, I was very interested by the one at Geofra, however, when I transcribed the dimensions onto a plan to fix its position I discovered an issue with one of the leg positions relative to a wall. This effectively prevented access around the vehicle, no amount of 'juggling' could surmount this problem, so I am looking to find other alternatives to avoid, if possible,(a perceived) more expensive custom build.
Regret my skillset does not include welding, or I would do it myself.
I intend to revisit Geofra to see if they could arrange for the necessary customisation, but my expectation is not high that they would.

I know one local Armenian guy who are making custom gates, stairs, etc; you could negotiate with him a production of carport's skeleton from metal by your dimensions and then make any kind of roof by yourself ...

Shadeports built us a colour coordinated cantilever car port.

Excellent, same colour as our villa and gazebo.
