What has happened to our weather, it is and feels like Autumn, even the UK are going to have a heat wave this week, was not like this last year.

In a word cr*p.
We have been here since May 2003 and this is the worst May weather so far.
Climate change perhaps??
Geoff.

In the 17 years that I have been here the summer seems to have been coming later every year. We had a mini heatwave just before this spell of poorer weather and we need all the rain we can get. Don't worry, people will be complaining about the heat and humidity soon enough.

In that case if summer comes late, by law of averages it will last well into December, is that wishful thinking or being cynical.

Some people do have a short memory, May can be a little temperamental, my Mother in Law came in May 2014, it rained for 5 of the 10 days she was here.....I remember it well.

Whether you may be being cynical, or have wishful thinking, I do hope you are correct. :greetings

From what I recall during our 12 years there - the later the summer, the earlier winter seemed to arrive too.... The last few years were all very odd with the summer being later, getting hot very quickly then cooling just as fast by the end of October.

The last really hot part of the winter was if I recollect correctly in 2012 when my parents were staying for a month in November. They got switched from the Atlantica Hotel to the Miramare in Limassol and I was still wearing my shorts and flip flops - the first winter I had done that since 2004.

After that winter, my parents only came back to see us in February 2013 as my dad wasn't strong enough to travel again.
