Had an interesting message from Norton the antivirus company, I have Norton 360 on my PC had it for a few years and in my opinion very reliable, I renew my membership every year and get a good deal. Anyway back to what they said, they assure me that this hacking and issues will not get past their system, it is up to you to believe that statement. If you have time Google Norton and read up, might save you grief.

Any positive advice from members can only be for the good and benefit of the members,
Dave is right get good professional advice, many years ago, I say many years ago when they were is using an abacus to count with, I lost all my data and no back up, hence external hard drive and Norton 360. Ask as many people as you can but get it done do not get done.

I had to fix a computer about 3 years ago it needed a new hard drive.
The customer lost 2 1/2 years of accounts because they did not back things up!

I used to use Norton but as well as slowing the system down it clashed with several programs that I used.

After a lot of searching around I changed to ESET Smart Security. Plenty of good reviews and it works really well on both PCs and phones and also has some good anti theft features.

Windows 98, XP and 7. It was always said that Norton was good but slowed the system down. For me it also conflicted with several programs (don't ask me now which ones as it was a while ago) which didn't help.

I was always sceptical of recommendations for other antivirus software and I always have the full package giving internet protection as well. Someone suggested ESET (NOD32) and I gave it a go as I had just cleared out my PC to try and speed it up. For me it was a lot quicker and the program seems to work well.

I know that antivirus software is a personal thing but I am pleased that I made the change and wouldn't go back.

We use Kaspersky. Has a protected browser when doing online banking or paying for something online. Been using it for many years. We update it every year.
