Last night in Tala, around 9.30pm there was an attempted break-in.

These men are presently active and are at large in the Paphos area, so be extra careful and aware of your security at home. Make sure your alarm and CCTV system is in full working order.

Please share the below video as much as you can so we can get these criminals identified and stopped as soon as possible.

Maybe we are being a bit cynical ...... but that was my thought, too. ;)

Surely an advert...?

Two completely disguised 'burglars' who could never be identified clamber over the wall at 20:33, supposedly attempt a burglary which is not captured by the high tech security system and then appear to leave by the front gate, perfectly calmly at 20:37...?

So the cameras cover a wall and entrance/exit to the garden but not the entrances to the house where the supposed 'attempted burglary' was supposedly committed...?

And the burglars, who are not just chancers walking past the place and noticing an open window or some such, but prepared for their task and fully disguised choose to enter and exit in full view of the security cameras...?

My thoughts also. So obviously this security firm are praising their camera locations at the villa, but presumably no one goes out to apprehend the "burglars/actors" in the film. Wouldn't want to subscribe to that so called "security". A bit like telling the property owners "This is what we filmed for you of two burglars breaking into your house, which we thought you might like to have a recording of" !!!!!

If you would like to check with the Police, you can verify that this GENUINE incident was reported to them.

Im amazed at how negative people are, these 2 guys tried to break into my property and i have the footage of them on my cctv so their not actors! So what if the security company put their name on the clip, what really matters is that people know these criminals are in paphos, they are trying to break into properties and people need to be aware of it. I had this company come to my property yesterday to check our footage to verify its the same people so it could be given to the Police.

So they picked out 2 houses both with video cameras in an attempt to burgle? Bright aren't they :crylaughin Of course it's an advert set up.

Post 1 .... March 22 Quote :- "...We had 24/7 security in Peyia install a system for us ..."
Post 5 .... May 6 Quote :- "....guys tried to break into my property...." .... in "Tala" ???

Does this need Dave or Neil's attention ?

So two men dressed like burglars walk casually into the property take there time and casually walk out via the front gate. My view
is a nice programmed set up by the security company. As stated my view. If I am wrong then so be it.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I know the owner of 24/7 . He would not miss a good advertising opportunity but I doubt he would go this far.

If this is just advertising, he is only going to get away with it once - unless he sponsors PP then he can have his own section. :welcome :sweaties

I saw this posted earlier on a FB group:

"Just to make everyone aware ..... we have had an attempted break in at our house in Tala , 2 patio doors all badley bent , and 1 with the lock taken off .. maybe we wouldnt have noticed or they were disturbed ...
CID have been round , taken DNA samples and were her in 15 mins , well done to them .. but quite scary , our 2 little dogs must have seen it all !!

Just keep an eye out there ......"

Could possibly be the same guys, they were in Tala on Thurs night so maybe tried some different properties last night.

Good point.
However, it is a difficult time for anyone who has suffered a burglary ... I know.
I would have thought that the CCTV should have covered the access points to the building ... not just the garden ?

Couple of things about this thread
1. The post was put on by a member who lives in Peyia and was posting as a ‘service’ to let people know that burglars were about and active.
2. The said member had an attempted break in at their home by 2 people fitting the same description (the description was also sent to and published by Peyia Community.
3. The post was not put on by the security company, it was copied from their Facebook page
4. The views shown are only from 2 cameras from a 6 camera system.
5. Initial checks by us have shown that the incident was reported to the police and a copy of the video provided.
6. Since the video is in monochrome, anything on the light spectrum will appear white and anything on the dark spectrum shows grey to black.
7. If I had spotted a house I fancied breaking into on a previous recce and noticed a CCTV system, I would certainly go ‘hooded up’ to prevent identification

Very strange 2 people go out to burgle a place dressed in light clothing!
Normally they would ware dark clothing so as to disappear in to the darkness.
Then they paused before walking in to the view of camera 4!.
It was like they new it was there before going in to it's view.
Then one of them covered the side of the face to hide there profile of there face, like there known to the police.

2k they must have seen you coming.
I fitted our 4 camera system for around £250.
It's a network system using network wiring and can be connected to the internet if needed.

Neil i own thousands of domain names, its my job. As you will see i joined the group over 4 years ago with that particular email address. What that has to do with anything i do not know and i dont like the fact you post email addresses of your members publicly. Its not a pr stunt, why dont you contact the company in question and the police it you are in doubt. Its a shame that all you negative people dont wake up, lets hope you never go though a burglary and have to experience it. Its not pleasant. If you dont want me on the forum just delete my account it not a problem.
