We have it at our tourist cottage and the tourists have not complained. Wisp internet does go down from time to time, we just live with it.

Are they situated near the junction with Russian Road ? If so, it looks like they've had a rather large fire .

Comment from a FB Group from someone who went to the office earlier today:

'They told us someone broke in last night and placed a bomb in their server room, and it went off late night or early in the morning. Terrible, people are living in apartment above. Luckily no one was hurt, only material damage and wifi down for some hours today'.

A 34-year-old was arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire broke out at an internet cafe in Paphos in the early hours of Wednesday, which caused severe damage but no injuries.

According to police, the fire broke out at around 5am on Wednesday. Firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze.

Paphos CID launched an investigation and concluded that arson was a likely cause of the fire as the main entrance had been broken into.

Paphos police spokesman, Michalis Ioannou, said that an arrest warrant was issued against the 34-year-old former partner of the 35-year-old owner of the internet cafe, with whom he had financial disagreements.

The suspect was arrested and was detained at Paphos police station.
The loft of the internet cafe was destroyed and severe damage caused to the ground floor.

Good job I just increased my insurance then, I heard the same. I wish them well with the recovery, I need good strong competition to keep me on the ball!

Went past the shop this afternoon, and totally gutted with burn marks above the shop towards the apartment above. Must have been one hell of a shock to those living in that apartment. Hope they are ok now.

Their website is up and running and seems to be accepting payments

I am due over in a few weeks time ( I have not been to CY since late March ) and prior to making a payment just wanted to check that they were still operating after the problems they have had

The Blue net server was down for a few hours only. In fact no longer than the other WISP providers get on a fairly regular basis.

The service is running normally and I see their vans out on the road making new connections every day. You have no worries.

It wasn't the money side if I had lost a few Euros and they had disappeared, I like the fact at the moment that I can just pay for the months that I am actually in Cyprus rather than committed to a phone line and a bill every single month come what may

You know how it works out there when a competitor "makes an offer they cannot refuse" it usually ends up with the competitor disappearing all together

Maybe it was just a friendly unheeded warning at the moment ?
