Hi Guys

As anyone using Nile Sat knows , soon the Film channels will be lost.
Tried to upgrade our system but nothing happens ????
Can anyone give a step by step guide what to do to reset our system
Thanks
Les

While this is the trend are they all going right now Les? I just tried the old Nilesat and found MBC max was no longer there, so I did a scan and found Top Movies was back after a long absence, so was CNN news. I think what you need to do is clear the channel memory and re-scan. Unfortunately all these decoder boxes are different, so unless someone has the same box as you, it is going to be difficult to give you a "step by step guide". I think that all the TV satellites will die a death as their orbit decays, who would invest in a new TV sat when internet TV has already taken over.

first answer is to look at Lyngsat.com if you concern about current programming
second - you don't need to "reset our system"; the routine process is require go to menu, get to channels menu, delete all , then re-scan the sat [7/8W]; other technical tidbid - look at list of transponders stored in your receiver and compare parameters [freq,pol,DVB-S2 mode, SR,FEC] with Lyngsat

Last thing is about end-of-life of geostationary satellites using for DTH (direct-to-home) broadcasting: those sats never de-orbiting. They are accelerating after EOL to take highest orbit (+200...500 Km) , to its "graveyard".

The mbc channels are moving to another frequency, possibly due to the old satellite being decommissioned , I would expect on the new frequency hd to be available .
Try this
Nilesat 11559/27500 fec5/6
Badr7 11270/27500 fec5/6
Badr5 12284/27500 fec5/6

Goto mbc.net/taradod for full details
