With the sunshine being a real stranger to us in Fife, I decided to take advantage of todays sunshine to do a bit of work outside in the garden (get my tan topped up for summer). But I couldnt see a thing on the screen, It was so bad that I couldnt even see if it was truned on.

My questions to you are?
Is there a setting on a laptop to "turn up" the screen, or a particular type of screen for best use in the sun?

I am sure you techies will have the answer.

Have tried some shade but it doesnt really help, Im trying to enjoy some sun but hey ho its indoors for me. Ive seen people using their machines out in PFO, and was wondering if theres a setting or screen type better than others.

I'm not sure but maybe some laptops do have control whihc allows them to be used in the sun but even then I doubt they'd be able to use them in direct sunlight, as it would just reflect off the screen :D

We have a true blue screen on ours & its pretty useless in natural light also, so I can't really help you Tanny

Only Neil would come up something like that  :smilielol
