I have heard nothing , but was told I would get a phone call on the day of the verdict , then the court will be open to the public (if found guilty) for sentencing |

I maybe wrong, but I am pretty certain I saw Sandy Beech in the Mall on Sunday, I did a double take as I was surprised if it was him, but if not it was someone who could be his twin. I would have thought he would be either in jail or have very strict rules on what and where he could be. Not being in the food court at the Mall. I even commented to a colleague who was with me about it being him. |

No , he is out on bail during the trial , I think it was set at a very high price, over 100,000 he still struts around the paphos district like nothing has happened ... I am not one to assume guilty before proven , But i am sure I would not like to be in the same room as him .. |

I have been informed today that Sunshine Radio owner Sandy Beach has been found guilty of the charges against him, this morning at paphos district court , the hearing is now open to the public and he will be going before the judge on the 9th of this month for Sentence . he has been taken into custoday straight away and will be held in Nicosia centeral prison until then .. |

He won't like life in prison in Cyprus I believe. Didn't the case involve the two daughters of his ex partner, as he regularly spoke about them on Sunshine Radio before he was charged? |

My feelings are the same , for me , you can rob a bank, be a crook, steel from the tax man dont care if you fiddle the dole , But messing around with kids is a big NO,NO ! Neil and Tallulah, so agree with your comments, these people make my flesh creep. I have the misfortune to have one of these lowlifes living about 100 yards from my house. He has just returned to Cyprus after serving 3 Years in the UK for paedophile offences committed in the UK some years ago. It was in the news here and he was deported back to the UK. He has approached my granddaughter in the past trying to encourage her into his house. Fortunately she doesn't play out so much nowadays and is well coached in giving him a wide berth, but it's a constant worry. Sandy Beech deserves everything the courts can throw at him, along with what may befall him in prison. |

George, it is a pity that you have such a concern with that sort of individual living so close by. I am surprised the Cypriot authorities let him back into the country, even though he has served a sentence in Britain. |

I thought that l had read or obviously misread that he had pleaded guilty to the charges against Him, seems, obviously not. A terrible ordeal for the child to have to appear in Court after all she has been through this last year. Alan |

UPDATE The mitigation hearing has been completed and adjourned for sentencing on 24th Nov Mr Beech will be remanded in Nicosia Prison |

Just read Dave's post, Mitigation hearing, hell how can he submit any plea of mitigation, he certainly knows how to torment the family. I do not know anything about Cyprus prisons, I hope they are not a cosy as UK ones and that the prisoners sort him out. |

From what I have been told Nicosia prison is not a nice place! It has been said that some family's take food in for there family members that are in there. |
