Maybe slightly old news now, but just watching this lovely lovely man on BBC talking about dinosaurs reminded me that the ship had actually been named the RRS Sir David Attenborough.

No more fitting tribute could ever have been devised, in my opinion.

And the name 'Boaty McBoatface' will be given to an attached sub-sea vehicle on board the ship.

David's grandfather was a founder member of the school I attended .... so he had a good start in life.
Such an interesting TV personality .... Can't say that for many today.
