I have only just caught up with all the posts from when I had a week off the forum last week.

I am mega busy this week with work and appointments - not to mention getting Jessie groomed, visiting Polis Social Insurance and the General Hospital, and trying to fit my Greek homework in plus my work appraisal stuff. And I am supposed to have done my updating on-line for reading fetal heart monitors. It takes hours and when the sun is shining, and you are not getting paid to sit and read CTG's, you tend to leave it all to the last minute. I have to clean the house and sort out the ironing (thank God for Jeremy Kyle). So I won't have much time for PP this week either. Then we have friends out, so I will be off line again all next week.

People have commented that you don't need a holiday when you live on a holiday island. Yeah, right! I am sooooo looking forward to going to the North next week. I need a break!

Have a well deserved rest Verity and have a great time 'up north'. Don't fill up your car with petrol before you go as its cheaper over there.

we too haven't had a proper holiday since we've been living here either, snatched a weekend in Dubai November 2006 and a weekend in Bellapais in March. I just don't know where the time gets to

Phil uses all his holiday entitlement up when people come over to visit us. For them it is a holiday, and for us it is lovely to spend time with them. But we are still cooking, cleaning, washing and ironing. It is not a holiday for us. So it is good to just get away for a few days where someone else will clean the toilet!

Thanks for the tip about petrol Carollynne, but we will need a full tank anyway as we are driving from one side of the island to the other. I will fill up again when we get over there.

Julie - would be a hoot if we bumped into each other. If you see another car driving along the Panhandle it will probably be us.

No matter what anyone says if you work here you still need a holiday and I could do with one now. Trouble is I can't take any leave until November - March and of course relatives in UK are getting tetchy as we haven't been over in two years - great as I don't count that as a holiday either and who wants to go to the UK between November and March?

Anyway Verity enjoy your break - I am jealous as I would love to just get away from Paphos for a long weekend, but then Steve works on a Friday night so it would only mean one night away and is it worth the hassle, plus with the dogs at present I don't trust anyone with them.

Sounds like a hectic time for you Verity

Enjoy your break in the North and have a good rest. Sorry I'll miss you but I got you some GF goodies so I'll leave them with Ruth at the coffee meet

Take care
