Marios comes highly recommended (cannot personally vouch for him though):

99630575 - also at [email protected]

Hope this helps, A.

Can vouch for Marios. Used him many times over the years. But he has something like a €30 call-out fee (at least, where we live), so you have to consider whether it's worth paying this when irons - even goods ones - are relatively inexpensive.

Wife says that the iron we bought from Lidl a year or so ago is one of the best she's ever had (including Bosch) and, from memory, only cost €30-€40.

How old is the iron as it should have a 2 year guarantee.

As an aside, can anyone recommend someone other than Marios to fix a washing machine?

Hi Band

Yes Panicos is excellent . He is young and speaks good english and goes out of his way to help and is also very reasonable.
His tel no is 99598577. He also has a large van and a workshop in Paphos so if it is something that is difficult to do on site he can take it into his workshop. He is certainly my first choice and he also comes out when he says he will!

Thanks for that BB. Good to know that he turns up when he says as that is the main reason behind my asking!

There's a saying Tanny;

We have always used Costas Pentaras for 'domestic repairs'
He's very close to Time Out kiosk opposite the turn to Simon Emery's Deals on Wheels

Other people have recommended Pentaras but I remember when I had what I perceived was a problem with my washer when we first moved here - 9 - 10 years ago - if I remember rightly the machine would not spin. Pentaras came out, found the problem straight away - just a button that had been pressed in error - completely my fault- and charged me the princely sum of 40 CYP!! which I thought was OTT and have never used them again! Don't get me wrong I expected them to charge a Call out but certainly not that much for less than 5 minutes.
Panicos charged me less than €40 for a repair that took him about an hour and with a small part!
No contest in my opinion!

That's why everyone recommends Marios Neil, self-included.

Marios (99630575 or 26950650) ... for electrical repairs (washer/drier etc.).
He arrived within three hours of initial contact today.
Highly recommended .....Excellent, no pressurised service, good English spoken and a very pleasant gentleman.
