Well just wondering now if summer is here finally.Off for couple of days and it is glorious weather here in kent I am going to have a couple days in the garden trying to put finishing touches.Hope it stays like this for weekend when i am off.

Strange as it may seem Neil quite often the month of May ( usually the second and third weeks ) produces some really good weather even though the actual summer time of July and August can be cold and wet.

Never quite understood why but never complained

I had a quick week away to Cyprus in May a couple of years ago and it was hotter in the UK than it was in Cyprus But by the time I got back to the UK ( the day before I flew back ) it was pouring down with rain and really grim ~ as usual

Started of nice overcast now and cold spoke to my daughters in england who are saying its shorts out time not here hugging my jumper

There's not a cloud in the sky in sunny Norfolk, and at lunchtime it was 22 degrees. I estimate it might last until 4.30pm on Friday when my weekend starts

Just seeded the lawn and gave it a sprinkle just in case it don't rain

i know, it is mad , i have sat out most of the day inbetween little bits of housework and i have actually caught the sun!!!
went for a walk with the kids,i even have a vest top on .....see what 45 minutes down the road can do for you.
i bet if i lived nearer to the sea it would feel chilly but i am further back in the town and also have a really sheltered garden, however was nice when out walking too!!

It reached the dizzy heights of 22deg here too, the blossom is finally out, the leaves on most of the trees are out, and everyone is suddenly dressed in summer clothes. Need to get to my favourite garden centre to get some bedding plants.

Off down to Wiltshire tomorrow for a couple of days so hope this good spell of weather sticks around!

god forbid!! nude gardeners!!!!...mind you might brighten up the neighbours day!!!

yeah sat out yesterday and felt very bright when at my work last night, as i walked onto the wards they lit up... no need for my torch last night, nice and healthy looking today though!! must remember my torch!!

It has been a gorgeous day here in Southport today and suddenly everyone seems in better moods.

Last year we were in Cyprus at this time of the year and there was tremendous storms and loads of the catering vans along the Dhekelia Road were blown over. Pools were full of sand as well and it was poor weather the whole fortnight. Strange I thought.

Hope the weather keeps up for Sunday for an outdoor event and then we are off to Cyprus I hope.

Had a fantastic couple of days here in the Vale of Evesham. Even managed a bit of foot patrol through the park and by the river this morning - glorious! Got a bit hot and 'glowing' this afternoon tho so back to the car and the aircon

Am playing netball tonight at 7pm so hopefully it will have cooled off by then. I just love it tho, long may it continue but perhaps I am being a bit unrealistic

Chris, I usually start off at Tong garden centre, went just before a bank hoiday last year and they were only just putting the plants out. Then over to Victoria, other side of Wakefield, there is also a good nursery just the other side of the road which does amazing coloured geraniums. If I find I haven't got enough (our place usually resembles Kew Gardens!) I go over to Newbank in Delph, and as a last resort B&Q.

The weeds are growing just as fast as everything else

Living here in North East England and on the coast it always makes me cry when I see the weather forecast predicting this that and the other.
We nearly always have a sea fret and so for example if it's 24 degrees in Kent we'll be getting 16 degrees and so on.
Very rare that we get it warm. Fingers crossed for this weekend, barbecue has been cleaned but will it be lit ?
Anyone know the weekend forecast ?

Gary it going to be hot, hot, hot, for the weekend 25+ Well for me and Frank anyway as we down south.

Mmmm I'll let you know the temp here at the weekend. We do have a south west facing garden and it's sheltered but It won't be 25 degrees, I know.

Spurred on by the lovely weather, out comes the lawn mower ... guess what? Not working

Don't really want to buy a new mower as I was hoping that the building works would be starting soon and then everything in the garden will be coming out .... argh!!!!

On a weather front - here in Staffs/Shropshire it's a little bit cloudy but the temperature is 23°C - was very bright and sunny earlier.
