We had one hell of a hail storm in Konia around 11.30pm.

Did any one else have hail where you are!

Troodos got a good covering and it's still happening this morning

Well our Electricity went off in Peyia at about Midnight I think - got up at 3.00am as it was still off and went outside to check our box but all seemed OK there. Got up at 6.00am and it was still off so rang the EAC and they did not seem to know about it - finally come back on at 10.45 - we were cold and ready for a hot drink - thank goodness the new place we are moving to has a gas hob as we are all electric here - could not even open the Garage Doors!!

We were wise and got a hob that's half electric/half gas - it's amazing and so useful in those situations.

Is there not an overide switch for the garage doors so that you can manually open them?

Shelagh, our electricity was fine. Heard the hail though. Thought the windows were going to break.

When we had our new kitchen we got a ceramic hob which was fine but kept overloading the kitchen electrics so we took it out and replaced it with a gas one.

So pleased we did as it it so much better to use and always works, even when the power is off so that, along with our gas barbecue, means we can still cook whatever we need!

Hi Mazza - fancy you not having the cut!! I bet Flamingo did! I could not believe how long it took them to rectify it and it appeared to be that they had to come out to the little sub station just opp our house - there for 5 minutes and hey presto it was on!!

Couldn't see a rainbow, but this is the sun through the rain this evening.

This one is for Sergio. I missed the last rainbow but managed to capture this one just a few minutes ago.
