Just been announced on BBC. He has died after a short, brave battle against cancer.
Sincere condolences to family and friends, always admired him, missed him badly on Children in Need this year.

RIP Terry

Very sad news, and I too missed him on Children in Need.

He will be greatly missed, and he did so much for others.

Prayers and thoughts are with his loved ones and family. RIP Sir Terry.

Loved his comments he used to make when covering The European Song Contest. RIP

Just watched the 'One Show" tribute to Terry Wogan. Absolutely incredible, so many accolades, so much warmth, care and sincere regret at the loss of this unassuming man. So moving to hear Matt Baker continually speak of him in the present tense, such moving testimonies from all ranks of humanity. Wogan just had the knack of talking to everyone as though they were just one person, not a multitude of listeners/viewers, this the epitome of his great ability to reach out.
Credit to Alex Jones, Matt Baker, Chris Evans, Graham Norton.....et al. Hope his family watch this at some point in the future, I'm sure they know just what a true star Terry really was, but this tribute will show the real esteem in which he was truly held by the nation.

RIP Terry.

Agree 100% George, Chris Evans was very emotional and the letter he read from the Wogan family at the end was beautiful.
