Just back from taking the kids to see the Cyprus première of the new Star Wars film.

Brilliant film and we all really enjoyed it.

I was a bit nervous about going as the cinemas are usually full of people who are happy to talk at the tops of their voices right the way through the film. Amazingly there were only about 30 people in the cinema and everyone wanted to watch the film quietly!

The cinema tell me tonight's showings are sold out so I guess we just got lucky.

May the Force be with you all!! ;)

It's got rave reviews all round, so can't wait to see this movie. I have pre-ordered the DVD with Amazon.

If you enjoyed the first three films (episodes VI, v and VI) then you will love this one.

I have to say that it is a few years since I went to the cinema and to see this on the big screen was amazing.

I don't think I've seen anything other than the very first one, when our kids were, well, kids! One's under 40 now now, the other's over. I'm especially motivated to see this movie by virtue of the all-round excellent reviews.

I downloaded the entire set of star wars 1/6 jn the order they should be watched not the order they were released some i had forgotten or somehow missed, great to bring me up to date and looking forward to seeing the latest which i believe has been brought by Disney so maybe even better effects if that is possible! for the entire set 1/6 go to YIFFY type in star wars in the search box and they appear in the right order took about a hour to download all six episodes running in the background on my computer. you will of course need a torrent client i use Utorrent very safe and of course all FREE! :celebrate MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU :pow :woohoo

We went to see the film on Friday in the UK before returning home - have to say I was extremely disappointed - it was just a re-hash of the very first Star Wars film................you would have thought they could have come up with at least a slightly different story line - was actually so bored with it I nodded off at one point!!!

Saw this over the holidays while in UK.......... BRILLIANT !!

Really enjoyed it and anyone who enjoyed the original should go to see it. Best on the wide screen of course

Not sure why Judge/Chris found it boring ????????

.............because there was nothing new really - same old same old......................and in any event, one man's meat etc etc - If you loved it I am delighted for you - for me, it was money wasted

Son-in-law took his 5 year old son to see 'The Force Awakens' in Paphos this afternoon, and both apparently enjoyed it.

As much as anything I'm sure the cgi special effects will have improved over early days...and that can make a film. I've recently watched two films with relatively mediocre and far-fetched storylines in 3D at home. The 3D greatly enhanced the movies and made for really enjoyable viewing.

The decision was taken with The Force Awakens to keep CGI effects to a minimum to make it feel more like the first three films. There obviously is some CGI but where possible they have used live action and physical sets.

Artemis/jen I think it would be best to recommend people goto YIFY and not YIFFY as I did
