I see that not only has the Peyia branch of UK Foods closed, but the other two shops run by Mr Falon are up for sale?

The UK shops in general (there were quite a few once) which served a purpose 10 years ago have, with the advent of Lidl and Alfa Mega, now outlived their usefullness.

My wife says that the UK Food shop in Tremithousa is now largely given over to non-foods.

Whilst I agree with you Yakflyer that the larger stores have surpassed UK foods. Not all of us have a car the whole time (permanent UK residents with children, holiday Cyprus) and liked the small local stores in Peyia that we could walk to.
We have seen such a change, for the better, over the 13 years we have been property owners in Cyprus. The larger lidl and such like have helped keep the prices competitive which can only be a good thing for all of us.
Things change, some for the better, some for the worse. Most of it we can do nothing about.
Xx

Ericturner....not quite sure why you always post a thread (usually to do with gossip) then never respond and just let it carry on!
I am sure you are a "Law abiding Citizen" and look nothing like "Mr magoo"

Pathfinder, I can see exactly why you posted as you did, and rightly so, regardless of his reply to you. :clap

There are still 2 outlets importing and selling British goods. One is on the coastal road between Paphos and Coral Bay, and
the other is at The Duckpond.
