Looked out of my Kitchen window this morning couldn't believe what I was seeing-- an enormous-- Ball-- like the one in the Prisoner (if any one remembers ) but this one is semi clear with a little door. At first I thought it was a "new " type of greenhouse :doh found out- me being 002 & 1/2 the neighbour is going into business -where people get inside this thing and roll down hills :smilielol :smilielol :smilielol you might well laugh hope its not Peyia hill or there will be one big splash at the end of the roll. When I find out more I will report back -- and no I haven't offered to be the test pilot. :smilielol :smilielol Marj

The Prisoner was fab - I loved it when I was a kid but watched a re-run of the series just recently and I still couldn't get my head round it

They reckon Patrick McGoohan had about 3 nervous breakdowns during the recording of the series. Now I've seem some more of the episodes, I can heartily sympathise with him!

Will still watch it again, if it gets repeated - as we missed some of the episodes.

We visited the village of Portmeirion in 1992 - magnificent place!

But yes - they are called Zorbs and you have to put water inside the balls so you slide around in them without getting friction burns or sticking to it and rolling upside down for the duration of the ride.

I did hear someone was looking at getting them started in Cyprus - now, where did I hear that one???? I will have to dig back into the dark recesses of my brain now :!:

This BIG ball thing is still in my neighbours garden --Zorb-- tonight the garden lights make it look like something from outer space. Must take a closer look tomorrow, just to see how much WATER it uses. Marj

I never understood The Prisoner. I think I was too young. :D

I don't fancy becoming a human hamster, either, but I guess my mad kids would love it.

Well I took a closer look -- very strange-- I wonder if he took it to the garage up the road to have the air pumped in :smilielol either that or he used a foot pump-- or better still he blew it up like you would a balloon at a kids party. :celebrate Marj

Wondered what that big bubble was rolling down the cliff this morning :smilielol You will have to go round Marj and ask to have a proper look.
Think they'll play the music while you roll? de, de, de, de, de, de, de, da, da, de, well, never said I could sing
In fact you could go into business with him Marj and play your piano :celebrate
I've seen it on the TV in the UK, it was a new venture a few years back, never quite fancied it myself :manic but a lot of people did, crazy :there
Portmeirion is a beautiful little place.
Paula :)

I wonder what area this business will be based-- Anarita I think :?: -- and how will they get the WATER for it. :doh I will report back when I find out :smilielol Marj
