Well it's the Taverna Club tonight, so that's this evening taken care of!

My parents are leaving tomorrow after a 2 week visit, so got to take them to the airport, then probably off to the pub to watch the football, just for a change!

Long weekend with the bank holiday Monday, so plenty of chilling out after that I reckon - it's a hard life!

Going to the match tomorrow. There's quite a few of us going so ale will be consumed.
It's Mrs DP's 50th birthday on Monday. I've invited about 30 people round on Sunday afternoon for a bash. Mrs DP doesn't know.

Well, although it is a holiday here, I have been to work today. So I popped on the forum to catch up and the posts are going onto page 2!

So I guess I will be catching up on them tomorrow morning. Tomorrow night is going to be spent in Kathikas as it is Easter Saturday. I will take my Easter candle (thanks Jean) and get it lit, then we have been invited to have traditional food with Cypriot friends.

I have to go beautify myself for the TC meal tonight. It takes a while, as you can imagine. So that is tonight taken care of.

I have been trying to pack my suitcase as I fly back to Paphos tomorrow morning.
Have had a big shopping spree so I am hoping I don't get charged for excess baggage! When my husband sees our Visa bill I might just be looking for a place to stay, anyone got a spare room I can use.

Fighting crime and crushing evil for me 'n' him this weekend. We are on opposite shifts at the moment, me on days and Phil on nights - Phil finishes at 7am and I start at 7am At this rate we will still be married in another 20 years!

We are just getting ready to go and listen to live music. We like country music and we are going to see a really good country music duo so looking forward to it. Know it is not everyone cup of it but is ours.

Going visiting the grandkids on Sunday, must remember the ear plugs!! Only joking.

I work in Evesham as a 'normal' response officer but Phil works across the whole Division as an armed response officer.

He has a bigger car than me, lots more equipment and more responsibility

Tonight we went to Greg Street Working Mens Club but we also go to High Lane Conservative Club in believe it or not High Lane.

We had a good night but not many people in. A lot of clubs are struggling these days which is a pity.

What a start to Saturday.The sun is shining and really warm.Just finishing my coffee in the conservatory and then get that lawn cut

Managed all the pruning yesterday also bit late but only chance and then later we shall sit back and enjoy the view after tea with maybe glass or two

Lets hope for uk folk it is start of better weather.

Chicken Arrabiata a pasta dish tricia

Ingredients: 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
28 ounces Crushed Tomatoes
8 ounces Tomato Sauce
1 pound Chicken Breasts
4-6 ounces Sliced Mushrooms
1 Medium Onion
2 Cloves Minced Garlic
1/4 cup Fresh Parsley
2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
1 pound Rigatoni
1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

Chop Parsley.

Cut chicken into chunks.

In large skillet, heat olive oil to a medium heat. Add garlic and parsley, saute for 5 minutes.

Add onions, mushrooms, and chicken chunks, saute until chicken is cooked through.

Add tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, and remaining spices. Mix well. You should adjust the red pepper flakes to taste. I ended up using over 2 teaspoons, but my red pepper flakes are old and lacking punch.

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 35 minutes. The last 10 should be uncovered to help thicken the sauce.

It's that time of the week again - almost the weekend!

Might pop out to the pub for a couple of cheeky ones tonight, then as there's no football tomorrow a trip to the beach might be in order if the weather holds

Finished nights this morning, off for 4 days now Phil starts nights tomorrow night so we are going out for a Chinese tonight with friends. Other than that I have an essay to write for my degree so nothing too exciting.

I'm off to finish installing a Spa for a customer tonight, I think we're out with friends tomorrow night & then maybe pop into the 'Hot Dog' show on Sunday for a laugh at Neil in his wee van & chef hat, then chill out in the evening, maybe potter around the pool, cleaning it I mean, not using it

Started my weekend tonight by going for a lovely BBQ at Sussexlass's place, meeting her mum, who was ever so lovely and having some yummy food cooked by Chef Sarah herself so thankyou Sarah for a really lovely evening, Sophie is now shatterered with all that gambling with your daughter

Going to collect my lad Charlie from Alex tomorrow, thankyou so much to Alex and Geoff for looking after him for me, you are stars (Alex hun, so sorry my heart goes out to you You know what I am going on about )

Sophie going to waterpark tomorrow with Eclaire and co. Thanks bud for taking her.

Wendy, I'm envious. At tea time tonight I decided to clean up our bbq and burn off all the rubbish on it from last year. I no sooner lit it( sunny) and three minutes later there was a serious downpour. Patio flooded, bbq soaked.
Oh for some good weather. When the weather forcasters here in UK predict highs of 24 I always chuckle cos here on the North East Coast with sea fret that 24 turns out to be 15.
Nothing special planned for this weekend, will watch my footy team on tv tomorrow teatime and on Sunday night the local pub has a band on that come recommended who do covers of Free, Bad Company and Paul Rodgers so there's a few of us going to see them.

If the weather is anything like reasonable then we will have a walk along the pier on Saturday and join in with the day trippers here for the Bank Holiday. It is usually bracing rather than sweating weather but blows the cobwebs away.

Hubby preparing for a Motor Show in Cheshire on 11th and so will no doubt be working on that. Then after that we can have a couple of weeks in Cyprus I hope.

I had to laugh at my poor other half today since he had been told that a picture of the new supercar that he has just launched was in a magazine called Zoo. Turns out this is a mens' magazine off the top shelf. He was mortified when he took it to the cashout girl and his face was a picture of embarassment. In all our 40 years of marriage I have never seem him more red or flustered. I am sure the family will milk this story for quite a while.
