Hi all, I need to replace our digibox in Cyprus as our other one died a death over xmas. My question is, would i be better off buying one from here (UK) and obtaining a free to view card from Sky and have the hassle of getting it activated or should i go and buy from one of the satellite shops in Pafos with a card ready to use? I got a card from Sky before for our first box and it was such a hassle getting my mum to ring Sky from UK whilst at the same time answering her questions via the mobile and trying to talk the the Sky operator at the same time. If the prices are reasonable then i might just go for the easy option and buy from Cyprus. Any ideas of the current prices for a digibox with free to view card? |

If you have relatives in the Anglia region it could be worth buying in the UK to get ITV at 103 on the EPG. I believe you can use a UK mobile to ring Sky, should you have one - though though I have not done so. Prices here? e.g. http://www.normsat.com/Price%20List.html I don't recall having to get either of my free to view cards activated. One I bought off eBay, the other I bought here. It was just a case of plug and go? |

Thanks KG. I thought that the FTV card had to correspond with the digibox or does that only apply to subscription cards? In effect, are you saying that any FTV card will work in any box? I've only had subscription before so it's new to me this FTV thing. |
