Hi All

We have a number of Dogs ( mostly Chihauhaus ) and we want to take a holiday in late October .

Can anyone Propose / Recommend , a good place that they will be looked after , but considering the number ( lets say + 15 ) , who would give us a good price . Paphos area only please .

Thanks

Les

With that many dogs would it not be easier to pay some one to come and stay in your house, obviously they would be responsible for their feeding, exercise etc.
There certainly used to be several couples who provided this service, at a price of course but I am not sure if any of them are still on the island.

I think I've seen an advert for dog sitting, in either Grapevine or Cyprus Living magazines, in the last 2 months or so. I'll see if I can find it and PM you later.

Les, I've PM'd you.
Hope your little canine friends get their holiday, so you can too!

Shampooch again - they have a lovely big garden and the dogs are kept as part of the family - Pete always does a test run to see how they get on with other dogs for an hour before any booking is done. When I left mine a few weeks ago I was most upset when my Candy actually turned away and followed Gill into the house - she now has a second home with them and I can't recommend them enough. Pete's number is 99051367.

Hi All

Thank you for your replies , and suggestions .

However we do not feel comfortable with someones living in our house , and also we need a Kennel with the correct facilities , not people who do it from their house and have other pets , as these dogs , although little group up in packs and will attack . Not a Joke .

Thanks

Les

I am sure Shampooch could help you there as well, as they do have kennel facilities and can keep them separate from the rest if need be. They are experienced people with the facilities if needed, they just prefer the dogs to be part of the family which many of us prefer rather than in cages/kennels.

I think Shampooch (along with other boarding kennels) are licensed depending on space/facilities only for a certain number of dogs which may only be about 8-10.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the Info , sorry to say normal people collect , simple things like Toby Jugs and Glass , or even Crystal . My OH collects Chihuahuas , I surpose I can thank god its not St. Bernards . She also takes any Rescue ones as well , so there is a good side to the story .

I just hope there are no more around for a few months , as going away for a short break is a costly experience .

Any appreciate all the feed back

Les

I read somewhere they used to be a delicacy back in the old days ? Any Recipes . joking before Neil Starts

Les, at risk of being hounded ( ) off site, have you considered a slight rewording of the 1976 UK drought phrase "save water bath/shower together"?
i.e.
Save boarding, holiday separately...

OK OK I'm off now, don't set them little ankle nippers on me
