Congratulations Molly, that is quite an achievement!!! Unfortunately I won't get to that, unless I live to be as old as Methusala!!! Guy and I have only been married for (nearly) 4 years. However, we were also childhood sweethearts nearly 40 years ago, but we never managed to get our act together until we re-met (seriously wrong word) some 12 years ago.

Hope you are going to have a party!!!!

Love

WOW :!: Molly & JGG, you've both been with your partners longer than I've been on this planet  Thats great to hear as most modern day marriages don't last like they use to, so a big congrats from me :D

I've been with my partner 7 yrs 6 mths & counting, not married as I'm the kind of person who's once bitten, twice shy as I think that once you sign that piece of paper, everything seems to fall apart, I seen it happen too many times to ruin what I've got  :D

My Partner Vicki and I have been together for 7 years. We are going well, longest relationship I have ever had and still very happy :D   We were supposed to get married in Cyprus last year on the Jolly Roger, but unfortunately my dad was taken ill and had to have chemo, so we cancelled it. With luck, we will get it back on late this year or early next.

Met my other half late Sept 1990

Married at Paphos Town Hall in Nov 1999

My mum & dad celebrate their 50th anniversary this April - she was pregnant with me at 16yrs and had to get a special licence to get married. Everyone told them "it would never last"

Wow, it's so wonderful to hear about happy marriages..... all we seem to see these days is the down side of relationships and don't even get me started on the 'celebrity' pairings!!

David and I met in July 2004, first holidayed in Paphos in October 2004. Got engaged in Paphos, August 2006. Came to live in Chloraka last Sept and will get married once we're settled and family can come over.

I have been married 4 times ,, all of my wives have died suddenly.
3 died by accidentally eating poisonous mushrooms .
the 4th one died from a machete wound to the head..
(well .... she refused to eat the mushrooms  )

Snap! I mean the Paphos Town Hall bit, not Nov 99 - Sept 2003 for us, so nearly 4 and a half years now - has absolutely flown by (that's a good thing, I think!) :D

And Molly, you don't look anywhere near old enough to have been married 45 years  - you sure you haven't lost count??

Been married to the same women for 44 years. Oh, it seems like it was only yesterday. However, if it was tomorrow I could cancel it. Only joking.

Clive, how many 'women' (woman) would that be then? :?
Only 28 years - but hit on a cunning plan so Richard could remember both our year of marriage AND telephone number. When we moved house I picked the last 4 digits of the phone number to be the year of our marriage (1980). So he has no excuse now......... :D

This is my second marriage and last (whatever happens) :!:

Didn't get married here but in Montego Bay, lucky the bar didn't open until 10.00am otherwise I would have been legless by 2.00pm the time of the wedding. Just had to look at the wedding certificate as I couldn't remember how long thought it was only four, but five years in October. I picked Steve's birthday so he wouldn't forget, last year when we got cards from the family in UK he wondered why there were some for both of us and his mum had to tell him. :doh

We got married at Paphos town hall in July 2004, after being together for seven years. We quietly celebrated our ten years 'moving in' anniversary in December. Brian had already been married before, and me - well Brian is my third husband, so it's looking like third time lucky! :D

With Macca's acrimonious divorce case being high profile this week, it makes me vow never to go down that road again. There again I didn't get millions in divorce settlements!

My first wife died from alcahol , I came home drunk and shot her . :pint

But seriously , got married in 1974 , split in 1984 .

Had a few years doing things that I enjoyed then met my currant Lady , we've been together for nearly 8 years now , probably because I live in Burnham and she lives in Weston . We only get weekends and holidays together . :tumble

We too married in1973 so it will be 35 years in September. We first met in 1971 so that makes 37 years together. Never a cross word!!!! Yes, well, maybe one or two, but the making up is good fun. Can't imagine life without him, he is an absolute star.

What great stories :)

Pam - like you I am also on hubby number 3 and it's definately 3rd time lucky. Just wish I'd met him years ago thern I wouldn't have wasted my time on the other 2  I have been with Dave for 7 years and we married at Geroskipou town hall in June 2006. We met via an internet dating agency and for all those who think that's weird = don't knock it unless you've tried it
