Hi All, has anyone been on any of the day or evening cruises that are offered from Paphos Harbour?

Last night I went on the Wavedancer and I have to say I was very disappointed. It was a lot of money,
it went nowhere, (sailed to Geriskipou beach), the food and entertainment was average (and that's being generous)
drinks were not included in the exorbitant price. Also the atmosphere was ruined by the huge spotlights
that made evening ambience non existent. On a evening cruise you would like to see the stars and the
sky, not feel like you are sat in a middle of a football pitch!!!!

When we first arrived on the boat we ordered two bottles of "house" wine which was 8.00 euros each,
however, when we ordered more bottles of wine (there was 10 of us) they bought a different bottle,
although no one really noticed at the time, but at the end of the evening when handed the bill, we
learnt that all subsequent bottles of wine were 14.00 euros each! They certainly made a fortune out of us!!!

Does any one know or has been, on any day or evening cruises from the harbour that they rave
about. I have heard there are a lot better cruises, and deals, than the one I went on.

Is that what you're looking for?

Although not from Paphos I can recommend a trip on "Koula"
This trip goes from Latchi harbour.
It includes a cruise along the coast with a stop in "The Blue Lagoon" for snorkelling and a barbie on board.
If you can get on the "Full Moon" evening cruise it is even better.
From memory it is about €25 per person.
They are quite happy for you to take your own booze and cool box or you can buy from them.
It is possible to book the entire boat for a group and I was thinking about doing this as a possible PP do.
Brian.

I went on "Koula" a couple of years ago, with a group who hired the boat - it was fantastic! I contemplated having my 60th birthday party on it last year, but as my birthday is in February I thought better of it

The whole day was brilliant!

My friend hired the "Koula", the new boat, in June this year for her her daughters wedding reception, although I personally "dont do boats" it really was a great day trip. Food was good and plenty of it. There were only about 30 of us and he let us have the whole boat as a private party, so I would recommend this & would do it again

I went on the Show Night cruise on the Wavedancer last night, with a couple of friends & their kids who are over for a couple of weeks. I have never been on one of the cruise boats and I was a little worried after I read Herbie's posting.

This turned out to be one of the best night's entertainment I have seen in Paphos in my three years living here. There were three separate shows, African acrobats to Latin American dance and several wonderful singers. It was a real party atmosphere all night & the whole boat was up dancing by the end of the night.

I found the food to be of a really good standard, with plenty of variety, and lots of it. You are a captive audience as far as drinks are concerned, but I have paid a lot more for drink in many restaurants & bars in Paphos.

Yes, it is a bit expensive but I had a great time, I've spent more money on a great many nights out & gone home disappointed.

I have no connection with anyone connected with the running of the boat, we just like to have a good time & like to let people know when we do.

Steve :congrats posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=9023#

My wife had such a good time, she fell over on the pier & damaged the ligaments in her foot! posting.php?mode=reply&f=2&t=9023#

We went on a sunset cruise last week, it was much cheaper than the competition, at 21 euros each, which included a glass of "champagne" and some nibbles, the atmosphere was nice and the crew jovial, and we sailed towards the airport and then back into the sunset. Lasted about 2 hours. You get what you pay for I expect, as I have previously been on a wavedancer daytime cruise which was fab, but this was a great alternative if you are economising.

The boat was called "Christos" something, and it was a pirate type boat, cant remember the name of the operator, but when walking to the harbour, it was the first one we came to that was selling boat trips.
