Post subject:  New phone offline
Please help, this is driving me mad!
I have bought a new phone, Samsung J3, it is connected to WiFi but it says it's offline, but only at home!
We got it working in my local bar yesterday, we could get on fb, whatsapp etc. It just doesn't work at home.
Our other phones, tablets and laptops are all fine.
Please can someone help, it needs to be 'idiot' proof!!

Settings
Wi-Fi
tap on the wi-fi in question and tap 'forget'
restart your phone and then try to connect to your wi-fi again. You will obviously need to enter your password again.

Any help?

rock star spot on.. i bought that model put ten euros on it ie pay as u go on the friday gone that is,
did not use it checked the balance only about 3 euros left on it sunday morn ..going to the mall this morn and find out why!!

It sounds like your cellular data is running and so using your credit. If you're continually receiving emails and other notifications when you're outside of free WiFi access, your data is taking care of sending them to you and you get charged for it.

I would disable DATA plan for avoid such fee.
