has anyone got any views at all Good or Bad on the Toshiba Tablet. I am thinking of buying one.

I have a Toshiba satelite 850 laptop, certainly not the best on the market, would not buy toshiba computer again.
I bought a cheap Alcatel smartphone/tablet, spec on paper is good but the touchscreen/keyboard is very poor. I next chose a brand leader samsung galaxy tab pro, excelent in all respects has no down points, whilst this does not answer your query I have shared my experiences.
Re operating systems dont buy symbian, dont recommend windows, unless you buy apple IOS is not an option, I recon android is the best.

If you want to use Skype, check any tablet you consider buying will work with it. I bought a Coby. It doesn't. I suspect there will be other brands that don't as well. Check first.
