Have been using NTV on my mag250 for sometime and have tried iptvdeals , but now looking for recommendations for alternative suppliers. I require main UK channels and playback plus UK sports channels.

I only have the uk tv channels with the one I am with so can not comment on the sports side.

I pay 10€ a month.

Basic Freeview package including 38 channels & 12 Sports channels 13€ a month.

The full sky package is priced similar to ntv at 30€ a month.

Payment is by PayPal so you can cancel when you want.

I have been with them six months and the service has been great and my speed is only 2mb.

I have pm,d you the link as advertising is not allowed.

Stormy, what was your issue with NTV. I am using them now and haven't experienced any significant issues.

Did go through a period when things weren't quite right. Playback missing start or finish of a programme, some channels listed were not available , not all UK football broadcast. Even with a 12meg broadband HD stutters.

TBH think that they get things put right as quick as they can, but for the price they charge would think that they should have an immediate backup system.

Also have never been offered compensation ( extension of subscription ) when given poor service.

What period was this? My impression is that they are always trying to improve the service. With the industry that they are in there can be quirks, it's a shame they didn't offer you an extra month as compensation. I bet if you had asked for and extra month they would have given it to you (always worth asking in these situations especially if you seem like you'll unsubscribe or not put in a good word for their service with your friends).

To be fair you get so many channels for the price (at least in the Scandinavian package which combines UK and Scando channels) that it's unlikely that if one channel is down for a certain football match that you can't find another showing the same match. Of course if you want the Sky crew and the Sky channel and its backup are down, you may have to deal with Scandinavian commentary.

I am on 20mbit broadband btw.

I still pick IPTV over regular cable any day despite its shortcomings since I'm a poor student ;)

stormy, how was the other IPTV provider (iptv deals) you used and moved on from? Reviews on these services are quite scarce, there is one NTV Review but not finding many others for either NTV or IPTVDeals.

Have they gone ?

Some people who are with them are posting that the streams are still working.

You can still see their web site via cache .

try contacting them

would you really want to keep paying them in this position?

ok you may have paid upfront but just how long will their service continue... who knows.. but like all the others they can just disappear without warning - such is the risk of iptv suppliers like these who take a year up front....

ouch, a year up front. Glad I only pay my provider every month. I'd be drunk if I paid for a year up front and they disappeared, but as you say it is a risk we take with IPTV providers. Anybody know which providers have been around the longest?

thats the rub with iptv dealsl they dont (or didnt) do monthly payment only yearly - and i cant remember now if they offered 6 months - but when i looked at their service with a trial period it was a good package - better than ntv at the time and for less cash too.....

but hey where are they now?????

i personally wouldnt pay anyone upfront in the iptv world - too risky
