my friend has avg but to day it is saying she has got 7 viruses she can not open her mail and the home page keeps changing from Yahoo to Google.
I thought that avg would catch the virus and put it in the vault but this has not happened in her case she did a full virus scan on Friday and that was OK
one is trojan not sure about the other six
I am not very good with computer language so could you please make your reply idiot proof

To give exact instruction, exact details are required ... please get as many details from each of the 7 warning messages and post here.

There is a possibility that whilst this possibly infected machine is connected to the internet it could be spewing out more virii to email addresses it finds so if it were me id make sure it wasn't connected to the internet, or any other machine on my network. Thats just me. Others may suggest to visit an online antivirus checker which hopefully will pickup the rogue files too.

Sorry can't be more help but really need the details.
