Bringing a freesat box out to connect to a three metre dish can anyone recommend what type works best in Cyprus

I do not think any freesat boxes are any good any more . No BBC , Itv , ch4 or ch5 all gone.

Your only hope is with a sky box and card , and even then no BBC just a few itv and ch4 that have to be added as "other channels".

Sorry to say this but ITV has gone now, only Ch.4, Pick TV (If you have a freeview card), CH.5HD (If you have a freeview card & a HD Box) plus Men & Motors, Movies for Men which are Free to Air.

Hi Maggie,
Are you sure you mean "Freesat" and not "Freeview".

If it's Freesat then what you need is a dish hooked up to be able to pick up Satellite channels.
If it's Freeview from the U.K. it won't work over here.
If it's a tv that was bought in Cyprus with a Digital Decoder built in then you will get the digital terrestrial channels.

Hope this helps,
Eric

That's right Maggie but it's usually freeview (through the aerial) that's built in, freesat is when you connect to a dish.

Be careful before buying a box for U.K. tv here.

If you need more in depth answers come and see me at The Duck Pond, last stall on the left pass Neals Cafe.
