Help!
Went on Skype last night to the UK and could only get sound no visual. Menu displayed saying there is a fault Skype will close down and Microsoft will inform me of the remedy. No remedy, no closing down. The screen, when clicking in visual settings, goes very faint. Had no trouble until then.

Wow! Have no idea how, as I tried all sorts (even the Bassets type) but I am back on line with Skype.

So glad you sorted it out, I'd be totally lost without Skype, long may it remain free....

Not if Microsoft have their way...they bought Skype a few months ago...there must have been a money making opportunity or they wouldn't have bought it.
Let's see how often it crashes over the next few weeks once they start tinkering with it

DONT PANIC MR. WILSON !!!!!

If MS do take it down there are many other VOIP programs/agents on the web and some are far better than Skype, it's just that Skype is better known.

^^^^Agreed...plus I think we may just actually start seeing Ad pop-ups which we'll get used to and just start to ignore just like we do with banner ads now

Does anyone else here use Skype for Linux (it's a different version to the one for windows)? I get sound and video but only send sound. The camera is working with other programmes so it must be Skype. Anyone else in the same boat?
