Does anyone know where I can source some of this and the approximate price as I intend to hard wire some apartments through a common router. Also who stocks the wall switched needed to connect ezch apartment. Cheers |

You can buy bulk packs of CAT5 cable and all the other bits and tools that you will need from Nicolau Electronics (near the Electricity Authority offices). I think I paid CY£35 for a 300 metre box. Speak to one of the younger members of staff as the boss has had a charm by-pass

Also second Nicolau Electronics ..... Presumably this is in reference to this post : http://paphospeople.com/paphospeoplefor ... php?t=1443 If you are doing yourself, you will need a terminating tool and guidance on how to terminate. Depending on your wiring network design you may need to consider a patch panel too. |

Cheers Dutch and KG. I will try to get hold of them to see it they have a fitting service their as well, or get the relevant bits when I come out. I intended to use the existing router and then install a multi splitter to feed the relevant apartments. As not everyone will be on at the same time. Whats a patch panel (apart from a black bit that goes round a dalmatians eye) |
