Ok, folks, have a question - I know how to record from the internet with audacity, but am I doing something wrong, because all it is doing is recording from the mike so programme must be up pretty high - plus any other noise is picked up - not good with 4 dogs barking or me swearing or singing no realising I was being recorded

Any help would be appreciated.

I know that Neil, you are slightly worse than me , but I need this info quick as the programmes I want to record are going off shortly - Kenny Everett's Xmas Day 2 hr special etc, plus French & Saunders. We know we could put it on tape, but not the same as CD, plus Steve's stereo system of 20+ years ago is playing up now, hence digital would be far better. Don't know how I could keep the dogs quiet for that amount of time - or myself come to think of it

Can you not download it afterwards from one of the internet sites and then put it onto a DVD recordable disc?

That seems to be the easiest option.
