Hi, could anyone give me a little advice please, I already have a Sky box, but my son has a Sky+ box to give me when I return to the U.K. for a couple of weeks, is it worth bringing back to Cyprus? could I record on it here?

I think it depends on what you are subscribed to ..
But dont quote me , as I dont have sky ...

You need to pay a 'subscription' to Sky to be able to use Sky+ record facilities ie, freeze, playback, fast forward etc. also need TWO aerial leads from LNB on Dish!!!

I brought my Sky + (which I had in UK for over a year) when I retired to Cyprus over 7 years ago and it has worked fine from a 2.7 metre dish until this last week when The 'hard drive' stopped working!!!

So I phoned 'Norman' last friday and he came this morning and he put on a new LNB and larger 'collar' (Two feeds had 'expired' from the four available) and I have 'given' two feeds to my neighbours.

I have also 'upgraded' to a new Sky+ HD box, so I am 'Happy Bunny' again!! and Norman guided me through the procedure while I phoned Sky in UK to change my Sky card No to the new box (#31#) ash 31 ash removes your phone ID to do this incognito!!!



Would like to recommend Norman of 'Normsat' for his prompt service. He also fit my 'Dish' almost 5 years ago at my present address

that's brilliant, I get the picture now (or not) all sounds a bit to expensive at the moment though, but I'll bring the box back anyway, and thanks for the tip re- phone calls!.
