Ok I have just moved service provider and can somebody tell me why there is such a difference if I do 2 different speed tests eg.

or this speed when done locally (which is a joke for what we are meant to have)
,

now whilst I realise there is 150 mile difference, I thought it did not matter over the net, or am I having another blonde moment.

Any views/advice would be appreciated.

Adana is in Turkey, and this is my result from the UK on a 5MB BB

Generally, connections via Turkey tend to be very slow as I do not think that there is much capacity to Istanbul - try Rome/London. Cyprus is connected to europe via several undersea cables, mainly to Europe and Israel.

Thanks Digby, but I tried it through the Emirates and it came up even worse. For the first three days we had a brilliant service, now gone downhill very fast. I know I would have preferred yours, but just couldn't afford it at the moment - one day.
