Hi
I have VPNUK installed so I can watch english channels such as bbc1,2 ITV etc. I have been told that I can connect the laptop to the tv and watch the programmes on the tv. Can anyone tell me how to do this and what cables will I need.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Geraldine

If your tv has the correct socket/adapters - you will need a VGA cable to transfer the video feed from your pc to tv (last time I looked they were around €12) but as far as I'm aware, the sound will come from your laptop speakers unless you have a separate sound system attached to your tv which you can attach to your laptop.

It depends on the video output sockets your laptop has. Check them and your documentation to see. You will almost certainly have a VGA output but you may, like mine, have an S-VHS socket which is better. Once you determine which sockets you have you can obtain the appropriate cable. Sound will almost certainly need its own cable from your headphone out jack plug into your TV. Cables can be obtained very cheaply on Ebay.

Or SOS Computers did have the little adaptor a while ago and not that much more expensive than Ebay.
